How ROSI came about

ROSI doesn't come from a lab, but from the hospitality trade. Tobias and Simon Zilker are brothers, both started out behind the bar and know what a packed Friday night sounds like.

  1. The beginning

    First shifts at the Augustiner

    Tobias and Simon Zilker worked their first shifts in hospitality in the same Wirtshaus: the Augustiner an der Frauenkirche in Munich. Bar, kitchen, front of house, shift planning: both know the everyday life of a business from the inside.

  2. Two paths

    Data and software

    Tobias went into consulting via a work-study degree at the head office of McDonald’s Germany and a master's in data analytics: he showed restaurant chains how to use their data for better decisions. Simon studied software engineering at the Technical University of Munich.

  3. The drive

    Friday night, and the phone won't stop ringing

    Together, the two organise the non-profit Kulturfestival Gräfelfing with around 40,000 visitors and run large events themselves. They know what it feels like when the phone won't stop ringing on a Friday night. That's why they built ROSI: so the team has time for the guests in the room again.

  4. Tailwind

    Support for a young company

    ROSI is supported by the AI NATION Accelerator and the AI NATION Grant, by TUM Venture Labs and by the startup programmes of Google, Microsoft and AWS.

  5. 2026

    At Intergastra

    At Intergastra 2026 in Stuttgart, Tobias and Simon are at the fair in ROSI hoodies, together with Hypersoft. ROSI has a live connection to the Hypersoft POS system: reservations, tables and guests sync.

  6. Today

    The digital host for your hospitality business

    Today, businesses from pub to monastery work with ROSI, among them Kilians Irish Pub, Kloster Eberbach, Café Luitpold and Riegele Wirtshaus. For guests, ROSI is the voice of their business; for the team, the same ROSI works along in the background.
